Cristina's companion challenge Falling for Fall

Hey guys! So this weeks companion challenge over at Crafting with Cristina was to create a fall inspired project using the colours red, gold, yellow and browns aswell as having leaves somewhere. For my project i decided to make a card.

The card size i made was 4 x 4 which i rounded the corners of. I then added a layer of red paper and then a layer of orange card stock which i ran through my big shot and mustard yellow which i stamped onto with a leaf stamp and wrapped a piece of yellow ric rac around trhe middle to hide the join.

Next i used the Autumn Silhouettes clear stamp set from Kanban to stamp the dark brown negative and then used the positive stamp to stamp the tree in a mustard colour. I then layered that on the same red paper and attached it to my card front with foam pads.

Lastly i used a happy birthday stamp from the same set and the same brown ink to stamp a greeting and layered that on red paper and attached it with foam pads.

I love the colours of this card as i love love love autumn and no its not just because thats when my birthday is but i love the change of the weather and the dark nights and the changing of the leaves, its just my favourite!

Lastly this is a quick picture of a small notepad that i have altered using DCWV Hippie Chic paper stack and some ribbon. Not too sure what im going to use it for yet i just have it displayed on my craft desk so i can look at it lol.
Hope you have enjoyed the card and the notebook and i will be back in a couple of days with another update!

Mums birthday present

Hi guys!

Today i have been busy making my mums birthday present, it is her birthday next wednesday and i thought i might aswell get it sorted before i have to go back to work on Monday! As you can see from the pictures i have made her a bracelet from gold, teal and purple seed beads.

I hand threaded all the beads onto the wire using a beading needle (and i also stabbed a couple of my fingers in the process) and then once secured at the ends twisted all the strands round.
I then added a loster clasp to the one end and some chain to the other to complete.

This is the little presentation box i made for it to go into. I cut the box out on my cricut from the bags, tags and more cartridge in purple stampin' up card stock as that is my mums favourite colour.
I punched a hole in the lid and attached an eyelet with my cropodile so i could attach some purple ribbon to fasten it and then attached 3 different types of purple flowers to it. Inside of the box i put some purple scrunched up tissiue paper and also wrapped the bracelet in tissue paper too.
Oops forgot to turn this last picture clockwise oh well, as you can see this last picture shows how i will give it to my mum, i have placed everything in a purple organza bag along with her card that i showed in my last post. I cant wait to see her face when i give it to her just hope she likes it!

Mmm cupcakes and doughnuts....

So who likes cupcakes??? How about doughnuts??? Well here is a bracelet i made for my daughter with little fimo cupcakes and doughnuts. She absolutely loved it when i pulled it out for her!
This was the finished bracelet once it had been put together.

Here are the cupcakes and doughnuts when they had been decorated. To decorate i used a white Sakura Souffle pen to put sprinkles on the pink and red 3D pain for the sprinkles on the white ones.
These are the cupcakes fresh from the oven looking good enough to eat!

Another fresh from the oven shot, wonder why my proper cupcakes never look that yummy!

Hope i've not made you too hungry!

Two birthday cards...

Hi guys, so last night i made two cards, th efirst is for my mum whos birthday it is next week and the second if for an order i had from a work collegue.

For this card i used a piece of white hammered A4 card stcok which i cut in half length ways. I then went on to use my Ultimate Pro to make the base card. I then layered the card with gold paper and then partterned paper from a 6 x 6 Papermania paper pack i got ages ago!

Once i put on all the paper i took a stamp from the Papermania stamping chic stamp set. I coloured the image using my Pro Markers and also paper pieced the gift bag and card and attached them with foam squares aswell the sunglasses.

Lastly i added 3 pink gems in the corner, backed the main image with the same gold paper and attached it to the card. Im really pleased with this card and hope that my mum likes it as much as i enjoyed making it.

This next card was made using the DCWV Hippy Chic paper stack, I LOVE THIS PAPER STACK!!!!! I love all the colours, the patterns and all the glitter! This card is for a work collegue for her neice. I thought using this paper would be perfect for a teenager with all the fab colours and.....you guessed it GLITTER!

I took a ready made white card blank and matted it with a dark blue paper rounding the corners first. I then took a piece of pumpkin pie card stock from Stampin' Up and used my Fiskars threading water border punch on one edge then used a Fiskars texture plate to emboss some dots which i ran an orange ink pad over to highlight then rounded the corners. Next i took a piece of Hippy Chic paper and rounded the corners on one side and attached it to the orange card so that it was overlapping and added a piece of green ribbon over the join.

I took a green Papermania flower and drew some lines on it with my quickie glue pen and added some glitter to give it a little sparkle, then added a felt flower and beautiful pearl brad from Papermania to the middle. I cut using my cricut a scolloped square in the same dark blue paper as the first mat, an orange square and a white square, and i stamped the word Niece in blue to tie all the colours in and attached them with foam pads. Lastly i added 3 green pearls in the top right hand corner just to finish it off.
Will be back shortly with a bracelet i made the night before for my daughter.
See you shortly!

Naughty naughty naughty.....

So once again its been a while since i have posted on here as iv been so busy with work and have been ill aswell, so here are 3 cards i have made recently. The first is an order i had from a work collegue for an anniversary card for her mum and partner so i decided to go for a black and white colour scheme which i think always looks elegant.

To make the card i used a pre made A6 card and then took a plain piece of black card which i embossed with a fiskars embossing plate, i also took a piece of pattered paper from doodlebug designs which i attached to the black card and attached some black ribbon around. I then used my cricut to cut a white circle and a black scalloped circle. I stamped happy anniversary onto the circle with some magnetic stamps i was given from a family member and attached it onto of the ribbon. Lastly i added 4 pearls to the ribbon just to give it that little bit extra. My work collegue loved it just hope her mum does too!

The next card is my first christmas card of the year, havent tallied up exactly how many i need yet but i plan to make one every couple of days so will hopefully have them all done in pleanty of time.

For this card i once again used a pre made A6 card which i layered on a piece of gold mirri card, and two patterned papers from the papermania A Silent Night paper pack, and then a border strip from the same collection. I Stamped a snowman which was from from Anita's and used promarkers to colour the image i then added some stickles and mounted it onto some more gold mirri card.

I then addedd one of the card tags in the top left corner where i made a boo boo and walla it was complete!

This last one is a wedding card i made for Phils cousin whos wedding we went to last Saturday the card was made out of white hammered card stack to which i added a piece of paper with white roses on, i then addedd a feather butterfly to it. Next i stamped congratulations on a piece of card and added it to the front of the card underneath a cream ribbon.

I then made a box for the card out of the same hammered card stock using the ultimate companion, i cut an appature out of the lid and added some acetate so the happy couple would be able to see the card through the box. I didnt like how the box looked with the rough edges so addedd some ribbon which already had the adhesive on it to the edges of the acetate and placed a white rose on each corner to hide the joins.

Phils parents were really impressed with the card i just hope the happy couple liked it.
